Company founded by E. P. Coby as a financial printer on Frankfort Street in Manhattan
— 1865
Company taken over and renamed by Frederick C. Biermann
— 1900
Company specializes in production of scented printing and perfume testing papers, using a proprietary paper it developed for this purpose. Orlandi brand testing paper becomes the benchmark for fragrance developers and chemists in the development and evaluation of fragrances. Orlandi creates what was known as “sell by smell Odorads”

Frank Orlandi joins.
— 1927
Frank Orlandi assumes control and renames the Company Frank Orlandi Inc. Ed Sander joins the Company as an assistant, and lead the U.S. sales efforts of the company until his retirement in 1989.

Richard Orlandi joins the Company
— 1955
Company moves to new three-story building at 41-21 27th Street in Long Island City, and opens a contract packaging division, adding packaging machines for heat-seal, powder, cosmetic, pharmaceutical samples and perfume vials. Company continues scenting operations for stationary, sales literature, direct mail, greeting cards, package inserts and ad inserts for magazines and newspapers.

Arthur Orlandi joins the Company

Diversifies its scented paper products to include car air fresheners, scented drawer liners, and sachets.

Moves fragrance sampling operations to Farmingdale, NY (led by Arthur Orlandi), and the contract packaging operations to Babylon, NY (led by Richard Orlandi).
— 1980
Company hires Kenneth Kane to develop sales in Paris, France.
— 1982
Kenneth Kane assumes the lead role as Vice President of Sales for Europe and the United States.
— 1987
Jefferson Smurfit Corporation acquires the business. Sven Dobler assumes responsibility as Transition Manager and then General Manager of the Orlandi Division of Jefferson Smurfit Corporation.

Sales office is opened in Paris, France. Richard and Arthur Orlandi retire.
— 1989
Launch of TruEssence® branded scent strips, in collaboration with Douglas Whitaker and Ken Maury, utilizing improved micro-encapsulation technologies. This allowed for superior fragrance renditions and new possibilities in magazine fragrance strips. Orlandi became one of the premiere worldwide manufacturers of fine fragrance sampling with TruEssence® scented strips.

Per Dobler joins Sven Dobler in an acquisition of the fragrance sampling and scented products activity from Jefferson Smurfit Corporation. For this purpose, a new entity Orlandi Inc. is formed. Operations continue uninterrupted at the 85 Bi-County Blvd., Farmingdale, NY, location & Orlandi Sarl Paris France is formed.

The Company expands its printing, pre-press, and packaging operations by acquiring an additional manufacturing facility and warehouse located at 131 Executive Blvd. in Farmingdale, NY. This becomes the new headquarters building.

ColorKiss® is launched - an innovative single use, hygienic lipstick sampler
— 2004
Expansion continues by adding a third manufacturing facility at 121 Executive Blvd., in Farmingdale, NY, dedicated to the development and manufacture of fragrance and cosmetic labels and samplers. Orlandi Labs opens new LEED certified laboratory in Chattanooga, TN for the micro-encapsulation of fragrances. Orlandi opens Sales office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

TouchUps™ launches - a bio-degradable lipstick sampler. Russell Ostroff who joined the Company in 2002 becomes Vice President of Sales in the United States.
— 2014
Orlandi innovates scented products with wood bead technology. Orlandi joins forces with V-Shapes® for the manufacture of an innovative mono-dose sampling package. Philippe Ughetto becomes Senior Vice President, managing Orlandi SARL, France.
— 2018
The Company becomes the exclusive beauty distributor for NOAR™ MultiScent20™ Digital Scent Diffuser in the USA and EMEA.
— 2019
V-Shapes is introduced with an eco-friendly recyclable mono material in Europe
— 2022
Brazil Sales office converts to Distributor Company. Orlandi acquires the consumer products business of Orlandi Labs/ART and sells its TruEssence scented strip product line to optimize its fragrance sampling products portfolio.

Orlandi sets up new operations in Chattanooga, TN for the micro-encapsulation of fragrances.
