| Leadtime
Leadtime is based on scheduling constraints. Allow 3-4 weeks to
reach the daily rate of production (see below). Allow 6-8 weeks
for custom-printed laminate.
Samples
Samples are prepared at no charge up to 100 samples per shade. Leadtime
for samples is approximately 10 days with each additional shade
adding one day. Bulk requirements for sampling is 5 lbs. (2 kg).
Stability Testing
ColorKiss sample retains are routinely placed into a clinical testing
oven at 40oC for a minimum of 2 weeks. On completion of testing,
samples are reviewed for color fastness, product displacement, offsetting,
bulk separation and seal integrity.
Standard Laminates
FDA approved polyester is used for top protective cover of the ColorKiss
applicator. The base ply is composed of 6 layers of material with
both the top and bottom layer being FDA approved, food grade polyester
and heat sealant. Standard base ply is printed 0/1. The image is
reverse printed (buried) under the bottom polyester layer. The back
print incorporates a random pattern of patent information. This
material structure has been produced from raw materials that comply
with FDA regulations 21CFR177.1520 (Polyethylene and co-polymers
of polyethylene), 21CFR177.1630 (PET) and 21 CFR176.170 & 176.180
(Paper).
Custom Printed Laminate
Custom printed laminate is available. Registered print available
on one side with random printing on opposite side. Line (PMS) colors
are applied flexographically while roto gravure is available for
process printing. Custom printed laminate can additionally be decorated
by thermal foil imaging and videojet imaging.
Embossed Pattern:
The protective surface pattern is proprietary and is the same for
all models. It was developed to ensure maximum protection for ColorKiss
applicators.
Compatible Lipstick Formulations
ColorKiss technology is effective for a wide range of wax-based
lipstick formulations including Sheer, Stick-type Gloss, Ultra Creamy,
Standard Formula, Shimmers/Frosts, Wax-based long wear. Note: Volatile
type long-wear lipstick formulations are subject to testing.
FDA Registration
Orlandi is registered by the FDA to handle over-the-counter, regulated
materials including, but not limited to, cosmetics,
cosmetics with sun screen (SPF) ingredients and secondary packing
of over-the-counter drugs. Orlandi's FDA registration number is
300 377 6773.
U.S. Postal Service Approval
ColorKiss has been approved by the United States Postal Service
for attaching to printed advertisements in Periodicals publications
at the bulk mail rate. A copy of the Postal Approval letter will
be supplied upon request.
